Our new laboratory

 For 20 years, Corvaglia closures have been standing for quality and reliability. Therefore, Corvaglia has invested in a new laboratory. With state-of-the-art and realistic quality tests, the company ensures that their closures will meet highest expectations in the future as well.

Consumers, bottlers or owners of trademarks – all of them put the highest demands on closures: safety, weight reduction, user friendliness, leak tightness, design, etc. The laboratory supervises the mass production and accompanies the development of new closures.

Routine testing

Already during the production of closures, integrated video systems ensure a hundred per cent visual quality control. Additionally, highly qualified employees from Corvaglia test closures for different functions every day. The closures are examined for the efficiency of the vent slots, the opening torque or the compressive strength.

Development

The sale of injection moulds for the cap production starts with a discussion about closures as well. Some closures are developed from scratch; others build on existing closure solutions. Often new requirements like weight reduction are added. The laboratory accompanies new technical developments until the injection mould is being released. Together with other departments, the laboratory develops an optimum solution for the client. With the new, professionally equipped laboratory, this task can be carried out even better.
